Friction:-
It is the force resisting the relative motion of two solid surfaces, fluid layers, and material elements sliding against each other.
Or
It is the opposition offered by surfaces to be in directly contact.
There are several types of friction:-
Dry friction is a force that opposes the relative lateral motion of two solid surfaces in contact.
For example:-
1. Tyres or Wheels against the Road.
2. Movements of solids over cemented floors.
